Twelve Words that Trip Up Students on Standardized Tests

Research has shown that there are twelve words that most hinder students as they read standardized test questions. MMS teachers (teaching in all grade levels and across the curriculum) have been incorporating these twelve words, where appropriate, to help our students gain a better understanding of them.
While in the computer lab, students from Mrs. Thompson's 7th grade Reading classes have used these words to create powerpoint presentations for extra credit. They all did a really great job! Their presentations are shared below.
